Born in Bourges in 1965, Laurence Jenkell has spent more than two decades sculpting the Wrapping Bonbon, a wrapped candy in bronze, aluminum, marble, polyester, wood, plexiglass and Murano glass. Her Candy Nations series of flag-wrapped candies, first shown at the 2011 G20 Summit in Cannes, lined Broadway in New York in 2018. She lives and works in Cannes and is a Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters.
